Mon Cala Opera

Mon Cala Opera, also known as Mon Cal opera, was a type of opera that shared its name with the Outer Rim waterworld Mon Cala, the home of the Mon Calamari and Quarren species. Its performance troupes often included Drabatans, an amphibious species from the Outer Rim planet Pipada with loud, pitch-perfect voices. Drabatans often played the heel in the performances.

At one point, the Karkarodon Rufork Tamson joined the opera players and injured a fin during a performance of "The Neka-Chisler." The Keredian criminal Cycyed Ock noted Tamson's incident in the Smuggler's Guide, a book kept by various pirates, criminals, and smugglers.
