The Terminator Times

The Terminator Times was a satirical holonews outlet created by the pilots of Obsidian Squadron while stationed aboard the Terminator. The publication quietly released fictional stories about life under the Galactic Empire, featuring exaggerated accounts of administrative and bureaucratic contradictions, fabricated reports from Fleet Admirals, and poetry. One of its recurring features was a comedic cartoon depicting a Gamorrean and a Mon Calamari rebel pilot duo in futile attempts to overthrow the Empire.

In a later interview with historian Arhul Hextrophon for the New Republic Heritage Division, Civé Rashon described The Terminator Times and revealed that the cartoons focus on a Gamorrean and a Mon Calamari stemmed from the artist’s limited ability to draw other alien species. Rashon also noted that had the Imperial Security Bureau discovered the squadron's activities, it would have been deemed seditious.

During the interview, Hextrophon made a note to inquire whether the Post-Imperial Administration and Ephemeral Preservation Network held records of similar satirical publications from the Imperial Era.
