41st Stormtrooper Legion

The 41st Elite Legion, also known as the 41st Elite Infantry or simply the 41st Elite—and sometimes referred to as the 41st Elite Corps despite its military formation, was an infantry legion of elite clone troopers serving in the Grand Army of the Republic's 9th Assault Corps during the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Under the command of Senior Jedi General Luminara Unduli and her assigned Senior Clone Commander Gree, the legion specialized in long-term patrol and peacekeeping operations on alien worlds, with its troopers becoming known as hostile terrain specialists and experts in reconnaissance, counter-insurgency, and alien recruitment. Sarlacc Battalions A and B, as well as Green Company, belonged to the 41st Elite.

The 41st notably participated in the Battle of Kashyyyk towards the end of the war, where its troopers turned on their Jedi Generals—including Jedi Master Yoda, upon the activation of contingency Order 66 by Supreme Chancellor Palpatine. Following the rise of the Galactic Empire in 19 BBY, the 41st Elite Legion was re-designated as the 41st Stormtrooper Legion and placed under the command of Stormtrooper Commander Gett.
