88th Flight

The 88th Flight was a starfighter flight that served within the naval forces of the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars against the Galactic Republic. The flight consisted of at least three Vulture-class droid starfighters and was stationed aboard Skytop Station on the second moon of the planet Ruusan, where they engaged Republic forces that boarded the station to rescue the astromech droid R2-D2 in 22 BBY.
The three Vulture droids were destroyed during the Republic mission; Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano mounted one in a station's hangar, causing a second to fire upon it before Tano mounted the second and decapitated it. The third was destroyed when a fuel canister was thrown by Tano's Jedi Master, Anakin Skywalker, with the Force and Clone Captain Rex firing on it, exploding and eliminating the remaining Separatist forces.
