Ruusan

Ruusan was a planet located in the Ruusan system within the Teraab sector of the galaxy's Mid Rim that was orbited by three moons. It was positioned at the coordinates P-11 of the Standard Galactic Grid.

Ruusan was the site of the final defeat of the Sith at the end of the Jedi-Sith War. It was host to a number of ancient relics, strewn across its many historical battlefields. Following the defeat of the Sith, Form II "Makashi" fell out of fashion in the Jedi Order and was gradually seen as a mere training exercise. A room in the Jedi Temple on Coruscant was decorated with stained glass windows, one of which depicted one of the battles on Ruusan.

During the Separatist Crisis, it was aligned with the Confederacy of Independent Systems, and, during the Clone Wars, one of its moons was the location of Skytop Station, a secret Separatist listening post. The former Pirate Queen Maz Kanata marked it as a point of interest on a map she included in the book that would become known as the Smuggler's Guide.

Beilert Valance, T'onga, and many other bounty hunters visited and fought at Ruusan while searching for Nakano Lash, who had hidden on the world with Cadeliah, the heir to the Unbroken Clan and Mourner's Wail crime syndicates. T'onga was injured by Boba Fett in orbit, but was healed by a man who owned a nexu. T'onga's wife Losha Tarkon found her there, and the two set off from Ruusan together with the nexu to avenge Lash.

The planet shared its name with the Ruusan Reformations, an event of governmental reform in the Galactic Republic, and the Ruusan Armistice, a truce that led to the creation of new standards of humane behavior in wartime.
