Ailon Nova Guard
Canon Legends version → Linked from 4 articles
The Ailon Nova Guard originated from the Ailon system of the Inner Rim Territories. It was an ancient mercenary culture, created eons before the Clone Wars fought between the Galactic Republic and Confederacy of Independent Systems from 22 BBY to 19 BBY. Employing the entire humanoid Ailon species in their ranks, the mercenaries were donned with heavy golden battle armor and wielded polearms and eklot swords that were laced with neurotoxin. When the Clone Wars struck the galaxy, the Ailon Nova Guard aided the Republic in the conflict, fighting for the faction in multiple battles.
