Blue Squad

Blue Squad was a Rebel Alliance starfighter squadron that fought at the Battle of Endor, the decisive engagement of the Galactic Civil War between the Rebellion and the Galactic Empire. In that battle, Blue Squad was one of multiple RZ-1 A-wing interceptor squadrons that comprised the Alliance's Blue Wing attack element.

In 4 ABY, Rebel Alliance General Lando Calrissian launched an attack on the Empire' unshielded Death Star battle station over the forest moon Endor, and called upon Blue Squad, along with Red and Gold Groups, to follow his starship the Millennium Falcon towards the station's reactor core. However, beset by Imperial TIE starfighters as he made his approach, Calrissian ordered the pilot "Blue Wing," coordinator of the attack group of the same name, to break formation and draw away the enemy craft. Calrissian's assault was a success, destroying the Death Star, while Blue Squad's efforts contributed to the Rebel victory over the Imperial fleet.
