Bureau of Operations

The Bureau of Operations, or simply known as the Bureau, was a branch of the Galactic Empire's Imperial Intelligence organization that handled important covert operations that were beyond the standard operating scope of local resources. It had a variety of responsibilities, including monitoring enemy activity, industrial and commercial surveillance, diplomacy issues, and occasionally the destabilization of entities and implementation of assassinations.
