Celes IV militia

The Celes IV militia was a planetary defense force located on Celes IV which existed during the Clone Wars and was aligned with the Galactic Republic during the conflict. At some point during the war, forces from the Confederacy of Independent Systems which opposed the Republic established a fortress on Celes IV which was too shielded to destroy from the planet's orbit, prompting a ground assault from the Celes IV militia led by a member of the Jedi Order, who served as Generals in the Republic Military. One soldier from the Celes IV militia who participated in the assault, Altadan Igar, would join the Republic's successor state, the Galactic Empire, following the Clone Wars' conclusion, later recounting his experience serving in the militia and fighting alongside the Jedi to a captive Jedi Knight, Luke Skywalker, after arresting him on the forest moon of Endor.
