Clan Tal was a Mandalorian clan that dated as far back as the High Republic Era. Aran Tal, a human who participated in the Hunters of the Outer Rim sporting competition, was the last remaining member of Clan Tal, who were killed by the Galactic Empire during the Night of a Thousand Tears. Aran Tal wore the clan's ancestral armor. Clan Tal had a rivalry with Clan Vizsla.
