Department of Modification and Redesign

The Department of Modifications and Redesign was a department of the Coalition for Improvements, a part of the Galactic Empire's Commission for the Preservation of the New Order. Its role was to ensure the advancement of officials across the galaxy depending upon the individual's loyalty to the Empire and to what degree they were willing to promote it at the expense of their own personal ties.

At various points throughout the Empire's reign, the department also relocated or forcibly deported populations or species from worlds that required re-purposing for Imperial use. Many of the orders for these relocations originated with the Coalition for Improvements. The department was briefly detailed by the historian Beaumont Kin in his book The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire in 35 ABY.
