Efavan Major Homicides and Secret Investigations Department

Efavan Major Homicides and Secret Investigations Department was a fictitious law enforcement agency created by Jedi investigator Emerick Caphtor and Galactic Republic private investigator Sian Holt to gain access to a crime scene. Around 231 BBY, Capthor and Holt traveled to the Outer Rim planet Vorzyd V to meet with an undercover Republic agent within the city Efavan. When they arrived at their rendezvous, a Cyclorrian law enforcement sergeant stopped them and informed the two it was a crime scene and asked what agency they were with.

After Holt informed the sergeant they were in the Efavan department, the Cyclorrian stated they had not heard of it. In response, Caphtor said they would not have due to its name, meaning the agency was doing its job, and threatened to call the sergeant's bureau chief if they did not give the two the incident's rundown. The sergeant complied with his request and they discovered the agent had been killed.
