Executor project

The Executor project was a military shipbuilding project designed for the construction of the Executor-class Star Dreadnought and established by the Galactic Empire during its reign. Beginning prior to the Battle of Yavin in order to reinforce the capabilities of the DS-1 Death Star Mobile Battle Station and quell the growing Rebel Alliance under instructions from Galactic Emperor Darth Sidious, who ordered the construction of four Executor-class vessels, the project was conducted in secret from the observant Imperial Senate. In an additional effort to conceal the project's true costs and scale, Emperor Palpatine provided the committees of the Imperial Senate with false information regarding the Executor-class's specifications.

Resulting in the creation of the Executor at the shipyards of the planet Kuat, and the Lusankya at the shipyards of the world of Fondor, the project obfuscated the Executor-class's size to between 8,000 and 13,000 meters, while its true size would measure to 19,000 meters in length. The project also served as an additional statement of intent from the Emperor, who was determined to locate and eradicate the Rebel Alliance once and for all. However, following the destruction of the Death Star at the moon of Yavin 4, the project's tactical importance was increased and construction plans were dramatically stepped up.
