Firebird Squadron was a starfighter squadron of the Republic Defense Coalition during the High Republic Era. Operating out of the Starlight Beacon space station, the squadron flew Z-29 Skyhawks. Firebird Squadron was deployed from the Longbeam cruiser Aurora IX in the Battle of Galov against the forces of Nihil Tempest Runner Lourna Dee, led by Firebird Leader Errington. Several of Firebird Squadron's pilots, including Firebird Leader as well as Firebird Four Jano Brayson and Firebird Two Teff along with "Firebird Three" boarded Dee's starship, the Lourna Dee, but only Jano survived.
