Genesian Customs was an organization that deal with customs inspections in the Genesia system. Due to the highly corrupt nature of bureaucratic organizations in the system, Genesian Customs could often be bribed.
During the Galactic Civil War, a Genesian Customs officer was bribed by an industrial corporation on Genesia to intercept a starship hired by their competitor. The ship was transporting a new chemical, and the corporation directed the officer to declare the cargo unsafe to transport and fire it into the system's star.
