Jedha Working Group

The Jedha Working Group was an organization within the Galactic Empire that produced classified data pertaining to the construction of the DS-1 Orbital Battle Station and the Mid Rim moon Jedha.

By 1 BBY, Imperial Security Bureau Supervisor Dedra Meero covertly came into possession of Jedha Working Group printouts spanning two years, along with other classified documents such as Ghorman Mining schedules, orbital progress assessments, and Eadu research journals. The secret documents Meero had access to, including Jedha Working Group materials, were eventually found by Axis network spy Lonni Jung, who used Meero's code cert to log into her files. Jung relayed the information he learned to spymaster Luthen Rael. Afterward, the security breach was discovered and Director Orson Callan Krennic interrogated Meero about her unauthorized access and subsequent leak of classified information, including of Jedha Working Group data. Jung's whistleblowing ultimately led to the Rebel Alliance's High Command acquiring knowledge of the Empire's secret superweapon.
