The New Republic Survey Corps was a part of the New Republic. At some point following the Battle of Jakku in 5 ABY, members of the survey corps captured an image of the crashed Imperial-class Star Destroyer Inflictor in the Starship Graveyard on the desert planet Jakku. In 35 ABY, the historian Beaumont Kin credited the corps when using the image in his book, The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire.
