Publitechnic was a droid manufacturer active in the galaxy by 22 BBY. It produced repair droids like the CLE-004 window cleaning droid and INS-444. Both equipped with repulsorlifts, CLE-004s worked to clean windows, while INS-444s replaced windows that lacked integrity or were broken. Working together, CLE-004s and INS-444s became important to the upkeep and cleaning of the infrastructure in cities across the galaxy. Even the Galactic Republic's capital planet Coruscant came to use the Publitechnic produced droids.
