Skakoan commando

The Skakoan commandos of the Techno Union were fearsome Skakoans fielded into combat. They wore modified pressure suits and were an example of how Skakoans were proficient into taking to the field of battle themselves. Like the Combat engineers, they could be packed into Shekelesh-class freight gunships and Hardcell-class interstellar transports. The Combat engineers would help clear the battlefield for Commandos.

The Techno Union aligned with the Confederacy of Independent Systems at the beginning of the Clone Wars, though organic troops were not commonly seen in the Confederacy military around the start of the war. However, over time the Separatist Senate convinced many to join the Commandos and other corporate security forces, and by the Outer Rim Sieges were more often seen in combat. Because of their methane-filled pressure suits, each soldier could be a living bomb, potentially triggering once shot. In 19 BBY, an entry on the Commandos was written by ARC trooper Muzzle and published in the survival compendium "Neyo's Almanac of Clankers."
