Special Operations Brigade

The Special Operations Brigade, also known as the GAR special forces, was a brigade within the Grand Army of the Republic. The GAR special forces units, along with Jedi, commonly used the Nu-class attack/transport shuttle thanks to its utility and versatility during the Clone Wars. Some Advanced Recon Commando troopers and clone commandos were part of the brigade. While most of the Republic Military was composed of clone troopers, of which ARC troopers and clone commandos were elite variants, some non-clone personnel would fight for the Republic Military during the war, including in special operation roles. Republic Intelligence made use of non-clone direct action operatives, whose number included personnel sourced from the Judicial Forces.
