Vario's syndicate

Vario's syndicate was a crime syndicate led by the Aleena crime lord Looti Vario that was active in the capital city of the planet Janix during the time of the Galactic Republic. In 19 BBY, during the Clone Wars—a galactic conflict fought between the Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems—Vario' syndicate joined the Shadow Collective, an alliance between various criminal organizations under the leadership of former Sith Lord Maul. That year, the Republic was reorganized into the Galactic Empire and Vario abandoned the Shadow Collective.

Vario's syndicate had an alliance with the Pyke Syndicate, as they help the Pykes smuggle their spice into the system. When Maul captured Vario, he provided the intel of the latest shipment and disrupted the network, which was part of Maul's plan to get close and assassinate Marg Krim, the leader of the Pyke Syndicate.

Following the Empire arriving on Janix, Vario's smuggling operations were grounded and he decided to stay with Maul, instead of taking his chances with the Empire.
