Airscoops were vehicle mounted devices with a variety of uses. The Tondra clan used the airscoops attached to the front of swoops to harvest algae from the upper atmosphere of the planet Bespin. Barimoq Industries fitted their steam rovers with airscoops that separated, compressed, then replaced gases such as hydrogen and helium that the vehicle's steam turbines ran on.
