Following the destruction of the first Death Star battle station at the Battle of Yavin in 0 BBY, the Chief Engineer of the Death Star, Bevel Lemelisk, went into hiding at a remote retreat on the planet Hefi, fearing for his life for having failed the Emperor. Imperial Intelligence agents eventually discovered Lemelisk's retreat and took him into custody.
