Blood spite

A blood spite was a predatory creature that made nests. A wounded bird in a blood spite nest would have little chance of survival. When the Chiss exile Mitth'raw'nuruodo first joined the Galactic Empire's Imperial Navy, his interpreter Eli Vanto felt he had as much chance of surviving at the Royal Imperial Academy on the planet Coruscant as a wounded bird would have in a nest of blood spites.
