Choarn

Choarn were blue eel-like scavengers with excellent sense of smell. Indigenous to Dac, these creatures were known to resort to cannibalism. They ranged in size from 1 to 8 meters. Their gaping maws featured rows upon rows of sharp teeth. They were driven into killing frenzies by the scent of blood to the point that blood-crazed packs of choarns have been known to batter themselves to death against the transparent windows of floating Quarren cities. Despite their aggressive behavior, the Quarren have been reluctant to keep choarn populations down around their cities as they are an important element of the ocean ecosystem, not to mention a staple of Quarren cuisine.
