Clone Wars reenactment movement

Canon Linked from 6 articles

The Clone Wars reenactment movement, or Clone War reenactment, was the development of reenactments during the Imperial Era featuring battles from the Clone Wars of 22 BBY to 19 BBY. The reenactments featured the armed forces of the Galactic Empire's predecessor, the Republic, and its defunct enemy, the Confederacy, represented by organics and droids respectively.

The reenactments were particularly fashionable with wealthy beings from the Core Worlds. One planet from that region, the pacifist Alderaan, was home to a surprising number of Clone Wars reenactors, including Kier Domadi. In 35 ABY, the historian Beaumont Kin referenced the reenactment movement and one of its contemporary supporters in his book The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire, going on to discuss why the Galactic Empire tolerated such callbacks to the Republic Era.
