Cockpit shield
Legends
Legends. This article is part of Legends: the expanded-universe stories that Lucasfilm set apart from canon in 2014.
The cockpit shield was a part on the StarSpeeder 3000 line of shuttle starships. The cockpit shield was an opaque piece of material that separated the cockpit from the passenger area of the craft. So divided, the captain had to use a viewscreen to address passengers. However, the shield could be lowered to allow direct interaction.
