A concussion was a type of brain injury, commonly caused by a blow to the head, and treatable by antishock. Hohass Ekwesh received a concussion when he was hit in the back of the head with a wine bottle. The Mon Calamari Jedi Cilghal taught Luke Skywalker about the physiological mechanism of a concussion, such that he knew where to apply the Force to mend himself after he suffered one from a piece of debris.
