Coruscant Global Newsgrid was a major news agency based on Coruscant. Its programming focused primarily on local Coruscanti news as well as relevant New Republic issues and government happenings. In 16 ABY, it was one of the first agencies to display footage of Aramadia's violent take off when Nil Spaar fled Coruscant. It also made a report that Leia Organa Solo had resigned as president of the New Republic, which was false.

Luke Skywalker asked the newsgrid's home office for information on Akanah Norand Goss Pell, Andras Pell, and Isela Talsava Norand.
