Credit chit

A credit chit or cred chit was an updated type of credit chip, manufactured by the Commerce Enhancement Corporation. They never became widely used, though, partly because they were designed to represent small amounts of credits and so were worth far less than a standard credit chip.

The credit chit was created during the latter days of the Old Republic, sometime between 50 BBY and 25 BBY. As the credit chip was becoming common and too dull (in their opinion), the Commerce Enhancement Corporation decided to alter the credit chips slightly, resulting in the credit chit.

The credit chit was rarely used within the Core worlds or the Inner Rim. They could occasionally be found in use on planets in the Outer Rim, though only by the extremely poor because credit chits were only worth about a hundredth of a credit chip.
