The Dual Stream DS-001 thruster component was produced by Elsinore-Cordova Engineering during the the Galactic War between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire. Designed for starship thrusters, the component increased the regeneration rate for engine power by allowing thrusters to intake stray radiation particles and thus draw in energy for the ship.
