Essio Galassian was a male Human astrocartographer in service of the Galactic Empire during the Galactic Civil War. In 2 ABY, he was responsible for discovering the hyperspace nullifier superweapon designed by the extinct K'kybak species on Seymarti V. Galassian tried to crack the machine's controls to make it serve the Empire, but he was stopped by members of the Rebel Alliance and killed.
