Floating droid

A floating droid was a round hovering droid used as a moving target in the game of Backstop. About the size of a Human head, it glowed while active and was remotely controlled by a player using a datapad. The droid recorded successful hits and friendly-fire incidents during each round, producing a musical "thunk" when struck and a different tone when players accidentally hit one another. At the end of a timed round, the droid stopped glowing and came to a complete halt.
