Backstop was a target-shooting game invented by Trey Courser, a members of the Galactic Alliance commando unit Wraith Squadron. In the game, one player served as the Controller, using a datapad to maneuver a floating droid around a circle of players armed with toy laser pistols that fired harmless beams of light. The goal is to hit the moving target while avoiding friendly fire. The droid automatically recorded hits and misses, with players ranked by the number of successful hits and accuracy at the end of each timed round.
