The Gingerbell Blossom Festival was an Alderaanian festival dedicated to the gingerbell plant.
When she was young, Princess Leia Organa was forbidden by her father, Bail Prestor Organa, to attend that year's festival when she was caught secretly watching a party held in the Aldera Royal Palace's Grand Ballroom; a party she was not able to attend as punishment for putting a wooly moth inside the Minister of Agriculture's desk drawer.
