Hanging

Hanging was a method of execution involving ropes, used by the Galactic Empire. A body could also be hung in display post-mortem as an intimidation tactic In a meeting between Luthen Rael and Cassian Andor on Ferrix, it was mentioned that Andor's father had been hanged in the square at Rix Road. Later, while discussing an upcoming robbery, Rael said to Andor that the Empire would use the same rope to hang him "whether it's for a plasma coil or twenty million credits." The Imperial pilot Palal Seedia told New Republic pilot Chass na Chadic that she assumed that the New Republic would hang her for her role in the destruction of Nacronis.
