Imperial Center Construction Contracts Division

The Imperial Center Construction Contracts Division was in charge of construction projects on Coruscant during the reign of the Galactic Empire.

The ministry planned building projects funded by the Empire, military facilities and other public works. Occasionally their projects involved the building of palaces for minor Imperial Advisors, after gutting city blocks in order. Such works boosted construction firms, they engaged in firrce competition bidding against each other; some became corporate giants thanks to such minor projects.

The slave Perit was officially transferred from Byblos to the CCCD, owing to his observed talent in technology. Soon he was taken in the service of Vigo Xizor.

In 3.5 ABY it was headed by Bentu Pall Tarlen, who oversaw bidding on project contracts and had the final say on evaluating the lowest bidder. Tarlen was actually bought off by the Black Sun and made sure that its fronts took the major projects. Xizor's criminal empire not only profited from them, but also made sure to plant holocams and microphones in their construction.
