Imperial crest

Legends Canon version → Linked from 40 articles

Legends. This article is part of Legends: the expanded-universe stories that Lucasfilm set apart from canon in 2014.

The Imperial crest was the official symbol of the First Galactic Empire and used on many things including uniforms and consoles after the Empire's founding in the year 19 BBY. It was a variant of the Dai Bendu's Galactic Roundel used by the Galactic Republic during its waning days as their own crest. The crest enjoyed a lifespan of over a century and a half; as by 130 ABY, the crest still was in use by the New Galactic Empire.

The crest was used on the symbol of a number of Imperial organizations as well as on the bounty hunter House Benelex insignia.
