An Imperial hunter was an individual who tracked down former Imperial war criminals who had gone into hiding to avoid facing justice.

In the months after the Battle of Endor, the New Republic commissioned Imperial hunters to bring in Imperials such as Perwin Gedde to face justice in the New Republic Tribunal.
