Imperial MilNet

Legends

Legends. This article is part of Legends: the expanded-universe stories that Lucasfilm set apart from canon in 2014.

The Imperial MilNet was the galaxy-wide communications network of the Imperial military. It could be accessed with personal communications gear by active-duty troopers, off-duty troops, recruits, trainees, local garrisons, transport guards, and professional mercenaries. One of the functions of the MilNet was to transmit open Imperial contracts for kill/capture orders. Months after the Battle of Yavin, one such order was issued against the ex-Imperial scientist Tag Rogaren. Darth Vader's Elite stormtroopers intercepted this order and claimed it superseded Vader's off-the-books mission.
