The L-17A Quikjump was navigation computer manufactured by Novastar Corporation. It was designed for light freighters and marketed at 12,500 credits.
Its main advantage was that it reduced the hyperdrive multiplier down to x1. However it often wore out, requiring maintenance, and many buyers discovered that it was not totally compatible to their ship, as the company (perhaps deliberately) avoided to mention these facts.
