Laser gates were a type of technology that formed a barrier. Six laser gates were present in the City of Theed's power generator of the planet Naboo, keeping blocked the way to the generator's virtually fathomless core. Legend said the six gates were a reference to Chaos. The gates were in use by the time of the Imperial Era and gave off a buzzing sound.
