Linear converters were starship parts. The assassin droid AG-37 visited Ania Solo's junkyard in the Carreras system in 138 ABY to procure a linear converter. Shortly later, Ania's junkyard was attacked by the rogue Sith Darth Wredd, who was masquerading as the Imperial Knight Yalta Val.
