Liquid cable was a liquid that hardened upon contact with atmosphere or the vacuum of space to create a lightweight but strong flexible cable. Liquid-cable launchers had a reservoir containing liquid cable in the middle of the device which held enough volume to fabricate twenty meters of cable that could support up to five hundred kilograms.
