A mint was a substance one could take to improve one's breath. During a Alliance to Restore the Republic Droid Maintenance Mandatory Psychological Check-In, the reprogrammed KX-series security droid K-2SO—who had a keen sense of smell thanks to chest-mounted olfactory sensors—suggested force-feeding his interviewer a mint due to their breath. The substance shared its name with "Mint Programmer" and "Mint Chair," a costume and weapon respectively, which were used by the Grand Arena Hunter Sprocket in 9 ABY.
