MyComyc was a 16-issue anthology comic series released in 1986 by the Spanish publisher Editorial Gepsa and distributed by Midesa. The MyComyc issues featured two-pagers based on several popular cartoons at the time, including Inspector Gadget, David the Gnome, Tom and Jerry, The Pink Panther and Mickey Mouse. The first eight issues also included exclusive short comics based on the Star Wars: Droids and Ewoks animated TV series. The authors of these comics are unknown and they were drawn by Beaumont Studios. The MyComyc issues were only printed in limited numbers, the first eight issues collected in a single volume in 1987.

The Star Wars-themed comics featured in MyComyc were rediscovered in December 2012 when a fan named Adolfo Rodriguez mentioned them on the DarkHorse.com forums and provided scans with the help of Eddie van der Heijden. Star Wars author Abel G. Peña translated them into English, with his colleague Rich Handley re-lettering them, and with the help of Mike Beidler, the translated comics were made available for download on their respective websites on April 10, 2013.

As with all comics released prior to April 25, 2014, these can only be canonical within the Star Wars Legends continuity. However, how they fit into the Legends continuity is ambiguous. Dark Horse's Vice President of Publishing, Randy Stradley, inquired at Lucasfilm about whether the MyComyc strips had been officially licensed at the time of their publication. Although the comics bore the appropriate copyright information, Lucasfilm found no paperwork proving that Editorial Gepsa had actually licensed the titles. Nevertheless, Handley and Peña strongly suspect that the licensing did occure, although Handley said that the "the strips' legitimacy was considered suspect for now, and Dark Horse had no plans to reprint them unless documentation emerges." In July 2013, before the new canon continuity was established, Peña indicated that the canonicity of the comics was ambiguous in the sense of The Clone Wars TV series and the then-upcoming Sequel trilogy. However, parts of the Handley's and Peña's 2013 StarWars.com Blog series "The Droids Re-Animated" used information from the MyComyc series, with the second part specifically confirming the events of "Sabotaged Droid" and "Troublesome Outing".
