A protostar, also known as a proto-star, was an object that was formed by the slow collapse of a nebula that would eventually form a new star. The Black Bantha Nebula was slowly collapsing into a protostar. The Vallusk Cluster was a cluster of protostars located in the Gordian Reach. Another protostar was forming in the Maad system not far from the planet Shedu Maad.
