A raft was a flat floating structure for travel over water. It could be used to carry passengers and freight.

Sometimes, the Ewoks of Bright Tree Village ran across the Endorian rivers on board rafts. The young ladies Princess Kneesaa a Jari Kintaka and her friend Latara sometimes ran on board a raft, when they had no chores to do.

On one occasion, Princess Kneesaa, Teebo, and Latara used a raft to search for their friend Wicket Wystri Warrick, who went alone to fight a hanadak, an Endorian predatory primates.

In 22 ABY, Jedi trainees Anakin Solo and Tahiri Veila, along with R2-D2, used a metal raft to travel to the Palace of the Woolamander on Yavin 4. The children were guided by a prophetic dream, along with telepathic communication from the Jedi Master Ikrit. Due to a powerful storm that quickly rose while they were on the water, the two risked drowning but were saved by R2-D2 and their own burgeoning powers.
