A Ralltiir tiger pit, also known simply as a tiger pit, was a trap employed by big game hunters. The pits were holes dug into the ground, and covered over with foliage such as reeds to disguise the opening. At the bottom of the pit, a bed of vibro-stakes was positioned to impale anything that fell into the trap. Tyro Viveca had Ralltiir tiger pits on the grounds of his estate.
