Reed (plant)

Reeds were a species of plant found throughout the galaxy. Some breeds grew in spongy and wet ground, clustered in close bundles with wide bases that tapered into long stalks. Types of reed included the Bambooi, native to the planet Kabal, Rishi's kishu reed, the razor reed of Trinta, the Yuuzhan Vong's lumen reed, and the siphon reed.

On Kabal, the big game hunter Tyro Viveca had swaths of reeds including Bambooi spread across the grounds of his estate. Viveca often used them to hide traps on his property, including obscuring the opening of a Ralltiir tiger pit and to conceal the control unit of an R-TechApp Man Trap.
